NOTICE TO LOCAL EMERGENCY & EMS PARTNERS
Vista Medical Center East – EDAP Designation
Vista Medical Center East has been officially designated as an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
This designation means our Emergency Department is equipped and approved to:
• Provide 24/7 specialized emergency care for infants, children, and adolescents.
• Evaluate, stabilize, and treat a full range of pediatric emergencies.
• Coordinate timely transfers when higher-level pediatric, obstetric, or neonatal services are required.
This designation strengthens local access to pediatric emergency care and supports faster, safer response for families in Northern Lake County.
