As we enjoy the last month of summer many in our community may be enjoying various religious and other observances. Some of the major ones include:

·       Arbaeen – Shia Muslims commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson.

·       Tisha B'Av – Jewish remembrance of a number of disasters in their history, primarily the destruction of both Solomon's Temple and the Second Temple in Jerusalem.

·       Feast of the Assumption of Mary – Roman Catholic observance of Jesus’ mother Mary being physically taken to heaven

·       Krishna Janmashtami - Hindu celebration of the birth of Krishna.

We are still looking for some help with hose testing this Saturday and Sunday. Please sign up and help our duty crews! It would be greatly appreciated. A reminder, hose testing starts at 11 AM on Saturday and Sunday at 8 AM. Food will be provided a long with drinks. If you have any questions about hose testing, please give me a call at any time.
