Foreign Fire Update
Hey all!
Please be advised that the FFIB has reviewed our bylaws and now new bylaws have been formally approved and are now in effect. As a result, several procedural changes apply immediately. It is important that all members follow the updated process outlined below. Requests that do not comply may not be placed on the meeting agenda.
Key Changes to Be Aware Of:
Request Submission Location
All FFIB purchase requests must be submitted to the shared FFIB email account:
You may CC FFIB members as needed; however, the request must be addressed to the shared account. Please also CC the Board Secretary, Lt. Gomez, on all submissions. Requests sent to individual board members or other entities will no longer be accepted.
Multiple Quotes Requirement
Multiple quotes (three bids) are now required only for purchases exceeding $3,000.
Updated Request Form
An updated standard FFIB request form is also now in use. This form must be used for all applicable purchase requests going forward.
New Training Request Form
There is now a separate request form specifically for training-related requests. Any request pertaining to training must use this form and include approval from the Training Chief (or designee) prior to submission.
Tax-Exempt Pricing
FFIB purchases qualify for tax-exempt pricing. Members submitting requests should prepare and submit tax-free quotes whenever possible. This helps maximize the value of FFIB funds and reduce unnecessary costs.
All members are strongly encouraged to review the newly approved bylaws in full. The bylaws and both request forms are attached to this announcement for reference.
These procedures are in place to improve organization, accountability, and efficiency. Your cooperation in following the correct process is appreciated.
If you have any questions, please reach out to a board member!
With thanks,
FFIB Board
