IMPORTANT message from Condell

GOOD AFTERNOON and happy new year,

I wanted to share an important update I received from Bri at Condell regarding a change to our protocol effective 1/1/25.

When you access the protocol app, you will notice a prompt to update to the newest version. This update includes a significant change: Ketamine dosages for behavioral patients will now be calculated using ideal body weight rather than actual or estimated weight.

Here are the key points:

  • Ketamine Dosage for Behavioral Patients:

  • Dosage remains 4mg/kg but will now be based on ideal body weight.

  • Maximum single dose is 300mg.

  • Medics may continue using actual/estimated weight until education is provided.

  • Ketamine Dosage for DAI: No changes to this protocol.

Tricia is finalizing education materials for this update, which should be distributed within the next day or so. In the meantime, continue to follow the existing guidelines until you receive the new education.

Let me know if you have any questions or need clarification.

Thank you for your attention to this update, and Happy New Year!

Best regards,Lt. Frankie Contreras-Gomez
