Aurora ED remodel update
Good morning all,
Aurora Kenosha is moving from Phase 1 to Phase 2 of their ED flooring remodel. Phase 2 will not affect EMS entry from the ambulance bay, but they’re asking for our continued patience as some hallways and care areas may look different or appear a bit cluttered during this work. Stretcher movement may be slightly tighter than usual, but they remain fully compliant with OSHA and accrediting requirements.
Please pass along their thanks to your crews for understanding while this necessary project continues.
Looking ahead, Phase 4 is scheduled to begin 12/12 with a projected end date of 12/22. Phase 4 will impact EMS entry from the ambulance bay. Aurora will send out more information prior to that phase, including the alternate route crews will need to follow. Clear signage will be posted, and access cards will be available in the EMS lounge so crews can enter the ED without needing an escort or doorbell.
