Seniors or individuals with medical concerns also benefit from these boxes, as they increase peace of mind and personal security. Back Download File Enroll at Antioch Fire for American Heart Association CPR Certification Classes Antioch Fire Department offers two levels of CPR instruction. The Heart Saver certification is ideal for the public to learn basic life-saving techniques, while the Healthcare Provider course offers deeper instruction for those working in the medical field. Heart Saver - This three-hour course covers adult, child and infant CPR. Students also can receive training on how to provide emergency aid for choking emergencies. The Heart Saver class includes the use of a barrier device. Successful completion of the course results in an AHA CPR card. Class graduates receive their card in the mail, and the certification is valid for two years. Health Care Provider - This four-hour course offers the CPR skills required for healthcare professionals. Healthcare Provider CPR includes instruction on adult, child and infant CPR, choking remediation, and AED use. Students will use a barrier device for instruction. After the course completion, students receive their AHA certification card. Certification remains valid for two years. Antioch Fire Department also offers first aid training; however, interested individuals must make an appointment for this training course. CPR course dates for 2025 book fast. Classes cost $40 for residents and payments must be made in advance. Checks can be made payable to Antioch Fire Department. Unfortunately, the Department cannot accept credit card payments.
