Just what is your legal authority to do so?

Your out of control. You are infringing unlawfully on our rights. You are setting your self and board for lawsuits!

Mr Gade, Please know this has been vetted by our legal counsel. You will find reference to our legal authority in the posted resolution. Thank you for your comments. Jon Cokefair Fire Chief.

Thank you for doing this. I hope you will consider a permanent ban for the health and safety of all township residents.

Just to clarify. Does this apply to unincorporated residents as well? Tthank you.

Antioch Fire Department April 20, 2020 at 8:36 AM
Yes this applies to both incorporated and unincorporated areas. This is a Fire District wide ban. If you live in Antioch Township you can not burn per the resolution. Thank you for the question.

Please consider a permanent ban even in unincorperated area.... our neighbors burn for days on end through out the spring. Some even burn old furniture. I have terrible asthma and get major chest and back pain every time a neighbor burns. I stay indoors and close the windows, but it still gets in. Our neighborhood has many elderly... and the smoke is not good for any body, and it isnt necessary.
