As we roll into the new year your Fire Department will begin some long-awaited updates. Since the passing of the referendum the Fire District has been working with FGM Architects to create a plan to address the infrastructure needs of our buildings. Using the approved funds from the referendum the Fire District secured bonds to begin construction at Station 1 and Station 2. Station 3 will follow next year.

The first step was moving the District Offices to 438 Orchard St. (Next to Dunkin Donuts) This will allow for an uninterrupted flow of business. Office hours will remain 8a-4p Monday through Friday. The phone number will also remain the same, 847-395-5511.

Next, on January 2nd, we will begin Phase 1 of a 2-phase project at Station 1. Station 2 will begin in March of 2024 with Station 3 following the conclusion of the Station 1 project. All Stations are expected to remain open and fully functional providing uninterrupted 911 service during the 18-month project.

We will be posting updates as the project moves along. We again wish to thank the Antioch Community for their support in allowing us the opportunity to address these long-awaited needs.

Have a Safe and Happy Holiday Season
